Nadia Elena Comaneci
She was an international star when she scored the first ever perfect 10 on the asymmetric bar during the Montreal Olympic Games. Additionally she scored six more perfect tens, which made her the youngest Olympic gold medalist, at barely 14 years old. Not only did Nadia Comaneci draw attention from all directions She also played a role in helping Romania find itself a place in the international map. Through achieving a feat that was not possible the sport's icon helped bring gymnastics to the forefront of global public attention. She changed the way that people saw female gymnasts. Her contribution to the Olympics was so powerful it is that 2 of her movements which are the toe-on motion and the release movement, are dedicated to her. Both have been rated as being difficult at a high level. Apart from the Olympics She also displayed remarkable performance during both her World Championships & European Championships. In the end, she became a legend in gymnastics as well as one of the most famous athletes anyone has witnessed. The 'Queen of Olympics had a go in modeling and advertising sports equipment, following her move to the US.
